Beth Torah is...

...a participatory and egalitarian synagogue, where congregants lead services with Rabbi Zelony, and serve as weekly Torah readers. Men and women share equally in all aspects of religious observance, and you will frequently find recent Bar and Bat-Mitzvah “graduates” on the bimah leading or reading.

Community Shabbat services at Beth Torah are primarily congregant led and there are many opportunities to get involved. For more information on leading the services, please contact us at Ritual–VP@congregationbethtorah.org or call the Rabbi’s office (972.234.1542 ext 227) Monday through Friday, 8AM to 3PM.

Service Transliterations

Service transliterations are available in the foyer outside the sanctuary for both Friday evening and Saturday morning services. The transliterations are also available for download here.

TOT SHABBAT

We have a special service for our toddlers and their parents, grandparents or special friends on the second and fourth *Saturdays of the month at 11AM. Singing, dancing, storytelling and a snack. A fun–filled ritual to educate, entertain, enthrall, and envelop our youngest members who are the future of our congregation.  (*Due to Covid–19, Tot Shabbat is being held virtually on the second and fourth Fridays at 5PM)

PRE–COVID DAILY MINYAN

Daily minyan is held every Sunday at 9:00 AM and every Monday at 6:45 AM and is a cornerstone of who we are; we meet the needs of our community through supporting one another in a time of mourning and saying kaddish. If you’re not ready to make a weekly commitment, please consider attending once or twice during the month of your birthday.

MONDAY PARSHA STUDY

The Talmud with Rabbi Zelony
The Talmud is the foundational text upon which all modern forms of Judaism stand. Come explore, spar with, and make meaning of this sacred book. Open to all learners. Hebrew text is provided but class discussions will be based on English translation. Every Monday after minyan (time will vary on holidays).
